Rigging Math: Algebra, Geometry, & Trigonometry Students will be refreshed on basic high school math including Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. They will then be taught the required formulas to do all of the calculations required to pass the ETCP Arena Rigging test.Ĭoncepts covered will include but not be limited to Mechanical Advantage, Horizontal & Vertical Loads, Fleet Angles, Bridle Calculations, Static & Dynamic Loads, and Load Distribution. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be prepared to sit for and subsequently pass the ETCP Arena Rigging Test.Ĭommon Arena Rigging Materials and their Strengths Students will be instructed on the proper use of harnesses and fall protection equipment as an integrated safety systems. They will learn the breaking strengths and safe working loads of all commonly used Arena Rigging materials. It commences with a discussion of common Arena Rigging practices from layout to load-out. Demonstrated therein are safe work practices for ground rigging and the many different methods of high rigging. This course is designed to assist Local 33 riggers with ETCP Arena Rigging Test preparation.
